Roewe released two DMH hybrid new cars, and innovative technology opened a new chapter in China hybrid.

On November 8, 2024, two new hybrid models of SAIC Roewe-DMH Xinluzun and DMH World Champion Edition were officially launched. Empowered by DMH super hybrid technology, these two new cars have shown remarkable performance, marking the development and application of China’s own brands in the field of hybrid technology to a new level.

In the "DMH Technology Cloud Classroom", SAIC Roewe product experts explained in detail how the Roewe D7 DMH World Champion Edition broke the Guinness World Record without relying on a large fuel tank, and how the Roewe iMAX8 DMH New Land Zun became the mystery of "the longest battery life and the lowest fuel consumption MPV in the world". The key to the success of these two models lies in how to improve the efficiency of the whole hybrid system and realize the cooperative work of software and hardware.

In terms of hardware, Roewe DMH adopts P1+P3 dual-motor configuration, which not only improves the mechanical transmission efficiency, but also accelerates the dynamic response speed and realizes more efficient decision-making. In addition, Roewe DMH also adopts the coaxial structure of the industry-leading engine and P1 motor, which improves the transmission efficiency, reduces the energy loss, and also improves the NVH (noise, vibration and acoustic vibration roughness) performance. Roewe’s 1.5T super-hybrid engine has achieved the highest thermal efficiency of 43% by using VGT variable cross-section turbocharging technology, EGR exhaust gas recirculation technology and deep Miller cycle technology, which shows Roewe’s leading position in its own brand.

In terms of software, Roewe DMH innovatively put forward the concept of "vehicle energy domain management", and realized the "five in one" functions of motor control, engine control, hybrid gearbox control, air conditioning thermal management and battery thermal management through the integrated powertrain control system architecture. This highly integrated system not only saves 70% redundant components, but also greatly reduces the network load and data delay in the vehicle, improves the communication speed and makes the dynamic response more rapid.

The Roewe D7 DMH World Champion Edition, with the blessing of the powertrain super brain PICU, has a dynamic response time of only 0.26 seconds, which not only speeds up overtaking, but also has lower fuel consumption and longer battery life. This is the first time that an autonomous automobile company has broken the monopoly of foreign technology, innovatively developed a fully autonomous and high-precision control system for mass-produced gasoline engines, and applied it to a hybrid system. DMH super hybrid system can provide five working modes: pure electric mode, series mode, full load mode, direct drive mode and energy recovery to ensure the best power output and energy saving balance under various driving conditions.

With the rapid development of global hybrid technology, China has ushered in the "China moment" of hybrid technology. As the representative of the first camp of independent brand hybrid technology, DMH super hybrid technology has provided strong power support for Roewe iMAX8 DMH New Land Zun and D7 DMH World Champion Edition, and brought "the best choice" for home users. In the future, Roewe will continue to lead the development of hybrid technology and help China’s new energy vehicles to continuously improve their position in the global market.
