  On October 22, 1973, the United Nations Security Council adopted a cease-fire resolution in the Middle East. On November 11th, 1973, representatives of Egypt and Israel held a signing ceremony in a tent 101km away from Cairo-Suez City Highway, and United Nations troops kept order at the scene. On October 6, 1973, the fourth Middle East War, the October War, broke out. Egypt and Syria, with the support of Palestine and other Arab countries, launched a war to counter aggression and recover lost territory to Israel. On October 22nd of the same year, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 338 "Cease fire on the spot", which was accepted by Egypt and Israel, and the war was declared over.
